Wounded duck in Taiwan fitted with gadget made by 3D printing technology
3D printing continues to prove itself useful. In Taiwan, a wounded duck has been fitted with a gadget that was built from the modern technology.
The duck was once attacked by a dog earlier this year, which resulted in an injury on its left foot. The vets managed to create a model of the duck’s foot and then printed it into a three-dimensional brace. Vets say the fitted gadget allows the duck’s foot to support its own weight while walking and that it can also be helpful for the animal to paddle in water.
